Buttons, statuses, and access issues: Why something is blocked

Work out why a button is disabled, a status has not moved, or a user cannot access a feature or file.

A button may be disabled because:

  • required fields are missing

  • required files are missing

  • your role does not allow the action

  • the application is locked

  • the item has already been submitted

  • a signature is missing

  • an access request has not been approved

  • a validation issue needs review

  • the feature is not included in the current plan

For SEIS / EIS, check the application status first.

If it says Action needed or Edits Requested, open the request and complete what Undo asked for.

If it says Submitted to HMRC, the application has already moved to HMRC review.

For Data Room access issues, check:

  1. The investor was invited with the correct email.

  2. The link is still active.

  3. The public link has not been revoked.

  4. Their access has not been removed.

  5. The folder or file is included in their permissions.

  6. The file uploaded successfully.

For team access issues, go to Settings → Team members and check the person’s role.

When contacting support, include:

  • company name

  • page or product area

  • button, status, or error message

  • screenshot

  • what you clicked

  • what you expected to happen
